Types Of Popcorn Makers Print E-mail
Monday, 22 January 2007

A rainy night, a cup of cocoa, and a big bowl full of popcorn are some of the simple pleasures in life.  With a new popcorn maker, it will be easier and tastier than ever.  You control how buttery it is, you control how salty it is; it’s really the ideal way to eat popcorn.

First, let’s talk about the old fashioned looking popcorn maker.  It’s really as functional as it is adorable.  The measuring cup is built right into the top, so there’s never a question of how much to put in or where your measuring cups are.  This style is also oil-less, so there’s no mess, less fat, and no risk of an oil spill or burn.  This is an air popper, so all your kernels come out light and fluffy.

Now, let’s check out the stove top style popcorn makers.  They take up no more space than a regular pot or pan, and make popping fresh popcorn easy and safe.   The included lid helps keep popcorn in the pot, instead of popping over.  Many stove top styles include a hand crank to keep all your popcorn moving, so that nothing will burn and you pop as many kernels as possible.

The last one we’ll look at today is the upright air popper.  This is another style that has the measuring cup built right in, and it doubles as a butter melting spot!  Convenient and fun, you can pop your popcorn right into the bowl with this one.  This style may not be quite as attractive as the others, but produces wonderful popcorn just as quickly and at an attractive price too.

No matter what type of popcorn maker you get, you’ll have a tasty and convenient addition to your home.  Pop a bowl, or pop a few!  Snuggle in and have some home popped popcorn with your new popcorn maker.
